General
What is the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
A gold-plated item typically has a gold content of less than 1%. This indicates that the item is made of a base metal (often brass or silver) and has been briefly immersed in a gold bath, ergo the plating.
To make gold-filled jewellery a separate base metal is used. Gold is mechanically melted onto the base metal to create filled jewellery. Because of the legal requirement that gold filled jewellery include 5% gold by weight, the gold coating is typically significantly thicker than that of plated jewellery.
Gold filled does not de-laminate or peel like gold plated, nor does it tarnish as readily because it is fused with base metal, not plated. It is the most durable metal next to pure gold. If you are looking for a more durable, long lasting piece, gold-filled jewelry is the better option.

How do I care for my jewelry?
Jewelry should always be taken off before sleeping, partaking in physical activity, and in any instance where you will be in contact with water.
Refrain from applying perfume, lotion or any other hygeine products directly on/around your pieces.
When not wearing your pieces it is best to store them in your provided box and/or pouch.

When will my order be shipped?
Please allow us 1-5 business days to ship out your order.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times are calculated by country/region. Please visit our Shipping & Returns page at the bottom of the site to view our rates and times for standard vs. express shipping on domestic and international shipping.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order has shipped you will be sent an email providing you with a tracking number. This will give you access to tracking information and an estimated deilvery date. Please note that delivery times are an estimate and are subject to change.

What is your return policy?
All items are FINAL SALE and returns or exchanges are not available. Please visit the Shipping & Returns section for more details.
Orders
I placed my order but I made a mistake. Can I cancel or modify once the order has been placed?
Once the order has been placed it cannot be modified or cancelled on the customer's end. If changes or cancellations must be made to the order, then please contact info@romypetra.com and we will be able to assist you further from there.
Please note that if you do not reach out to edit/cancel your order within one hour of placing your order, we will be unable to complete your request. Once the order is fulfilled on our end, further changes cannot be made.
Will I be charged duties and taxes?
Orders from outside of Canada may be charged an additional tax or fee by customs. By no means do we pay that charge. If there is a fee, international consumers are fully responsible for paying any additional charges.
